Parkhead CC

At Parkhead Cricket Club we are proud to be home to one of the best grounds in South Yorkshire.

The 1st XI left the Yorkshire and Derbyshire League (YDCL) at the end of the 2020 season having won the league a record 14 times. They have since joined the South Yorkshire Premier League (SYPL) and gained promotion from Division 4 (2021) and Division 3 (2022) at the first time of asking. In 2023 they consolidated their position in Division 2, and will remain in the Division for 2024.

The 2nd XI have now moved across to the SYPL and have been placed in Division 8 where they will have ambitions of getting out the division at the first time of asking. This comes off the back of moving from YDCL Div 1, where they enjoyed 2 seasons after winning the Division 2 title in 2021. They will remain under the captaincy of Thomas Jackson.

Parkhead now have a large and ever growing junior sections with teams in all age groups from U15s down to U9s. We also launched our AllStars programme in 2022 which was a resounding success. This will continue in 2024 with the programme fully booked up! Our junior section is ever expanding so watch this space for more announcements!

In 2022 we also launched our first Women's team, the Parkhead Panthers, who train on a Friday evening. They entered their first winter softball league and came out as SYW&GCL Softball Group D Winners 2023 in their first ever competitive league, a fantastic achievement! The Panthers are moving outside through the summer and we have two Women's teams competing in the South Yorkshire Softball League. The outdoor league is played on Sundays and as always, any new members are always welcome!

We also gained ECB ClubMark in 2022 which was a huge milestone for the club and a massive thanks goes out to all who helped to achieve this.
